During the summer of 2006, Chrisssy completed a two-month research trip to Africa, traveling through South Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Botswana, Namibia and Tanzania. Her research focused on means to reducing poverty by helping people make better use of their natural resources.
A Los Angeles native, Chrissy spent summers on her family's ranch in Montana where she learned how to barrel race and eventually won several state championships. Her enthusiasm for barrel racing led her to join the award-winning college rodeo team at the University of Wyoming, from which she graduated with a B.S. in Consumer Science.
Chrissy's goal is to work in the international environmental arena, initiating and implementing sustainable practices worldwide.
